Twenty five TNT swimmers competed at the 2017 Gil Williams Memorial Halloween Meet over the October 21st-22nd weekend and four of the 25 maintained a 100% improvement rate in events 50 yards or longer in evets previously recorded with the team while competing at the meet. Eight year old Porterville swimmer, Nathan Boudreaux improved 50 breaststroke which was his only previously recorded 50-yeard or longer event, and swam the 100 IM for the first time while competing club, while 14-year old Jojo Mecum improved his 100 free (1:16.25), 50 free (34.27), and 100 breaststroke (1:35.31) events. His ten-year old sister, Raquel Mecum, had two previously recorded events, and improved both of hers that included the 50 breast (44.37), and 50 free (37.23) events. Twelve-year old Malayna Medeiros posted an improvement in her 50 fly (36.80) by dropping nearly nine seconds in the event, and also swam the 100 free (1:14.36) for the first time. Twelve additional swimmers improved 50% or more of their times, and these include: Drew Black (improved 5 of 7), Natalie Boudreaux (1 of 2), Aidan Champagne (5 of 6), Duncan Champagne (3 of 6), Isabella Gornick (1 of 2), Daniel Haley (5 of 7), Dylan Hunt (4 of 5), Ashton King (2 of 4), Addison Mccullough (5 of 8), Michelle Murphy (2 of 4), Mackenzie Sepeda (5 of 6), and Mary Catherine Strizic (1 of 2).

Two of our swimmers competed uncontested at the meet, and these include 10-year old Drew Black who won all seven events entered (100 & 200 free, 100 fly, 50 & 100 back, 100 breast, 100 & 200 IM), and 14-year old Peyton Costa wo won all seven of his (200 & 500 free, 100 fly, 100 & 200 breast, 200 & 400 IM). Other event champions included: Sienna Abernathy (winning 3: 50 free, 50 & 100 fly), Danielle Albright (2: 200 free & 200 breast), Nathan Boudreaux (2: 25 back & 50 breast), Daniel Haley (1: 1000 free), Dylan Hunt (1: 200 back), Addison Mccullough (1: 50 breast), and Ava Olson (2: 100 breast & 200 back).
