The final Conference Championships for college swimming took place during the weekend of April 16th. Central Valley and Bay Valley Conferences were combined for their Championship meet atSolano Community College in Fairfield. Our very own Melaine Garrison swimming for the College of the Sequoias wins her seeded heat in the 100 IM with a 1:08.48, just behind the 1:08.25 top seed. She went on to hold the second place finish in finals improving to a 1:07.73 as well as placing second in the 200 IM with a 2:23.59. Melaine also went on to swim the 1650 free in a 20:23.
Alex Muhs also makes his debut by placing first in every event entered: 200 IM (2:00.93), 400 IM (4:14.31) and 200 fly (1:56.68) events and qualifies to compete at the State meet to held in Long Beach beginning today (April 23rd).Congratulations to a successful season. TNT is very proud of you.
