Annually USA Swimming recognizes swimmers who have achieved a national ranking among the top ten for both the short course and long course seasons for swimmers who are eleven years old to eighteen years old. All times swam across the nation are housed in a central database allowing the tracking and ranking of times. USA Swimming has recently published their final ranking.

Eleven year old Mallory Korenwinder maintained her 7th place ranking among all 11 year old female swimmers across the nation in both the 50 meter (36.94) and 100 meter (1:21w.65) breaststroke events. She is one of only two CCS swimmers of any age between 11 and 18 who maintains a top 10 ranking in long course.

Our second swimmer to rank among the top 10 nationally is currently swimming for Louisiana State University (LSU) and holds the 9th fastest time in the nation for all 18 year old female swimmers. Samantha Goates swam a 1:57.52 in the 200 backstroke last November which is a time that is also eligible for the 2009 Division 1 NCAA B cut.
