USA Swimming has published the USA World University Games roster that includes both current and past NCAA champions to lead a field of 47 student-athletes this coming summer. The World University Games is an international college-level competition that involves multiple sports, and takes place every two yeas.

The USA National Championships held in Irvine this past summer was the meet that USA Swimming used to select the USA team for three subsequent international levels of competition. The first team that was to be selected was the Pan Pacific Team for the USA, and this meet took place later in the summer. The Short Course World Championship team was also selected, and that meet took place late last year. The final team to be selected was the World University Games team.

Kohlton Norys will travel to Shenzhen, China during the August 14-19 week along with our fastest student athletes from across the United States and compete against the top college athletes from other countries. Although Kohlton had set the National Age Group record in the 100 backstroke and was the 2009 Division 1 NCAA Champion also in the 100 backstroke, his breath of ability qualified him for the World University Games in the 4×100 freestyle relay.

Congratulations to our very own home-grown World University Games qualifier.
