Seventeen TNT swimmers competed at the Fresno Dolphin Senior Prelim/Final meet over the last weekend of January which allowed for a Championship and Consolation final, and resulted in a total of 21 championship swims. Selma swimmer, Cody Nash, came home with the team’s highest finish with his second place swim in the 200 breaststroke (2:21.92). He followed his second place finish with two championship swims that included two 6th place finishes, one in the 200 IM (2:09.28) and the other in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.48). Cody also finished 12th in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:10.46.

Sierra Jett of Selma came home with the highest number of team points from individual events by earning championship swims in five events which was an accumulation of three bronze medal performances including the 100 back (1:03.83), 50 free (25.38), and 100 fly (1:01.58) events, and two 5th place finishes that included the 200 IM (2:19.22) and 100 free (57.23). Bre Abell of Selma made her return appearance in style as she swam to a 4th place finish in the 100 free (56.64), a 5th place finish in the 50 free (26.45), a 6th place finish in the 100 breast (1:17.46), a 7th place swim in the 200 free (2:03.84), and a 12th place finish in the 100 back (1:06.24). Selma swimmer Noah Haworth brought home the next highest point total, as well as the highest number of improved swims, with championship finishes that included a 3rd place in the 200 fly (2:04.13), and a 4th place in the 100 fly (54.92). His consolation finals include an 8th place finish in the 200 IM (2:11.73), 16th in the 100 free (51.38), and 9th in the 50 free (22.97). Noah was followed closely in points by Morgan Coddington of Selma who finished 3rd in the 200 breaststroke (2:39.21), 4th in the 200 IM (2:19.15), and 5th in the 1650 free (18:47.38). She also had a consolation swim, and 10th place finish, in the 100 back (1:05.78). Another Selma multi-finalist was Emily Goodbar who came home with championship swims that included a 3rd place finish in the 200 IM (2:17.03) and a 4th place finish in the 100 fly (1:01.97). Her consolation final was a 9th place finish in the 100 back (1:04.91). Our final dual finalist is a new arrival to the team, James Lamb of Selma, who finished 13th and 14th in the 100 back (1:05.15), and 50 free (23.81) events respectively.

Other finalists included 14-year old Selma swimmer Olivia Garabedian finishing 16th in the 100 free (59.73), and her training partner, Naomi Haworth who also finished 16th in the 100 back (1:11.72). Thirteen year old Jonas Huckabay of Selma finished 15th in his team record event of the 200 back (2:27.08), while 14-year old Jakob Koorey finished 12th in the 200 breast event with a time of 2:34.73. Thirteen year old Selma swimmer Satoshi Shinkawa came home with an 11th place finish in the 200 back (2:16.46).

Other qualifiers for this senior meet included: Lauren Davis of Fig Garden, Quinton Davis of Selma, 11-year old Maya Herrera of Selma, and 11-year old Jackson Huckabay of Selma. Congratulations on qualifying and competing at the senior meet.
