81 TNT swimmers competed at the Hanford Fall Classic over the second Saturday of September, with 64 of them having previously recorded times in a distance of 50 yards or longer with the team. An astounding 71.5% of those preexisting times were improved upon, with 37 swimmers maintaining a 100% improvement rate throughout the meet, beginning with Sienna Abernathy who improved 4 of 4 events. Additionally, seventeen swimmers recorded their first short course times with the team. A warm welcome goes to: William Alcocer, Ella Benttencourt, Emma Benttencourt, Andrew Branscom, Jonna-Lee Bush, Emma Chase, Ciena Clarke, Mallory Colvin, Dillon Daniel, Elias Dean, Lorelei Dean, Shannell Flores, Ragan Jessup, Korryn Kennedy, Trent Regier, Olivia Storey and Hannah Williams.
Three of our swimmers were undefeated, winning all events entered at the meet, and these individuals were led by 10-year old Visalia swimmer and 2014 CCS Western Zone team member, Layla Flores, who took home first place finishes in all five events that included the 50 breast (37.58), 100 fly (1:18.53), 50 back (35.16), 100 IM (1:14.89) and 500 free (6:45.32) events. Six-year old Selma standout Lucas Huckabay came home with the next highest number of wins, with four, that included the 25 free (17.33), 25 breast (25.84), 50 fly (49.71) and 25 back (31.32). Lucas was followed by 16-year old Mallory Korenwinder with three wins, including the 50 free (25.59), 100 back (1:01.78) and 200 IM (2:12.06). Our final undefeated swimmer was 8-year old James Savage who won the 50 free (37.90) and 50 back (45.50) events. Other event champions included: Sienna Abernathy (50 fee & 50 back), Danielle Albright (50 breast, 100 IM & 1650 free), Nadia Garabedian (50 free), Daniel Haley (500 free), Jackson Huckabay (50 free & 100 fly), Preston Niayesh (100 breast & 200 fly), Megan Ridenour (100 breast), and Alex Roberts (50 back).
